Voice of An Angel

The house is awfully quiet without the Imp around. I actually got to spend an hour on my lounge floatie in the pool yesterday. I was preparing for my Bible Study, but it was great to soak up the sun.

I'm busy planning my fall garden. My cukes are gone...bugs and sun. And my tomatoes are gone. Any good gardener will tell you that July and August are not months for tomatoes in Florida. My green and red peppers are still producing. I'm planning what I'll start inside during August...definitely onions and more beans (reverse of northern states, I have to protect my new plants from heat not cold and wait until we start having cooler...that means below 75...nights before planting outside).

The Singer is all excited. There is another voice competition called Voice of An Angel. It's sort of like Florida's Christian American Idol. Part of the application process is listing service work done by the participant. She just found out about it and the audition is this Sunday. Of course, I've always said she had a voice like an angel, so I'm sure she'll do great!

Hubby and I have been busy coordinating the showing of "Fireproof" this Friday at our Marriage Ministry meeting. We're pretty excited about it. The movie will never win any artistic awards but the message is powerful and it's a feel good movie about marriage. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this December. We're trying to decide how to celebrate it. A room on the beach sounds good to me.

The Singer has been busy. She had an interview at a law office (for office help) yesterday and got called for a second interview tomorrow. It's close to the university, so would be great to keep year-round. It stays open 'till 10 at night so she can get hours in beyond the normal 9-5. I hope the interview goes well tomorrow.
